In 1992 Manning leased a Balmain/Birchgrove corner shop front and dwelling, going through local council process to reinstate the shop usage as it had been disused for many years. On 14th August 1992 the new exhibition space for contemporary art was launched by Leichardt Alderman Sue Stock.

The Gallery ran for 3 years holding group and solo exhibitions and the annual Christmas exhibition ‘Less is More’ with a work maximum size of 300mm squared.
